Hi All: Another day on the road. This leg used a lot more gas due to the mountains in West Virginia, and Virginia. We are in Flattwood, WV at a KOA campground. Has good satellite signal here, and they have a good WiFi also, So life is good here.

Hope that is not a train lighting the tunnel??? Was glad to find two tunnels on this trip thru two very large mountains. Also, there is my Sweety beside a bush she liked.. Not sure what kind it is except that it is Red and Green...

Here's some pretty country we went thru today. Used lots of gas, but the trip was sure nice.

Also, Here's pharaoh doing his exercising again. He's always working out!!!!!!

We will get in to New Castle tomorrow and get hooked up at our campground in Rose Point. I will have a couple things to do on the motor home. Damn step is still on the Blitz, and now I have a miss when I have to stomp down on the gas. I suspect it's a fuel filter. I don't have a spare one with me. Not sure why, as I always have in the past. I hope I can get to New Castle without having to stomp on the gas to much, then I'll go get a filter and install it at the campground..

Not much to report today. Just Drive and Drive. Glad we have the Sirius Radio now. Didn't have to bring the 200 CD's of music I recorded from on line.

Hi All: We are in Union Grove, NC for the night now. Left this morning at 0815 and got here at 1530. Long trip. More hills etc. Also got turned around in Columbia,NC and lost a few miles getting back on track. Also had two or three slowdowns on the Interstate due to accidents. Not bad really..

This is the site that we got the Satellite signal with. Now I can watch FOX News. Amy is so happy for me.. hee hee

We got to our campground and had a hard time finding someone to check us in untill the owner showed up on a bush hog mowing the place and checked us in. He put us in a real nice shady spot and when I tried to lock the satellite dish it would not lock due to the trees we were in. Shown at one of the photo's in the trees. Well, there were several open sites so I unleveled the rig and moved to a site where I could see the area the satellite is in and all worked out I hope. I sent the owner an Email telling him I moved. The Office is about half mile away and I am not walking there in 97.3 temperature. We are all hooked up and the AC is cooling us down... Pharaoh is Crapped out as you can see. He pretty much stays that way most of the time, Except to heat and Poop...hee hee.

Nice spot in the trees. Would have been nice and cool, but no satellite signal..

Pharaoh exercising as usual....

Welcome to North Carolina. Will camp in West Virginia tomorrow night. Have a lot of mountains to test the Motor Home on tomorrow. Getting about 8 MPG so far. Gas ranges from 3.41 to $3.75. Paid $3.65 at last campground.. Not sure what they will hit me with in themorning...

Hi All: We got out of Floral City about 1030 this morning, and we are now at a Campground about 15 miles South of Savannah. Had a nice trip. No big problelms. Do have a slight problem with the steps. They do not want to completlly close up without me helping them go in, Then I have to get in the rig thru the Drivers Door. Will mess with it till we get to New Castle where I will have more time to crawl under there and have fun. Do have a complete replacement system for the step If I need it.

Campground is real nice. Sites are all under trees and is real nice. Good thing they have cable, as I doubt the satellite dish would have gone thru the trees. All is good...Have a couple photos' to add this time.
Hi All: Well it is departure date today. We have had a little problem last week and was concerned about being able to go on this trip. I had a GI bleed and spent a few days in the hospital. First they thought I had a kidney stone, and then the Pancreas problem, then an ulcer, and all the test showed that all of that was OK. Finally went in the large intestine and found a diverticulis area that was the cause of the problem. It had fixed itself so they sent me home last Friday. All is well now and we are leaving this morning for our planned trip. Had to cut the first part of the trip down, and won't be able to visit Bob and Dorene Boardman, and Amy's brother Tom in Delaware on the way to New Castle. Have reservations at a campground in Rose Point on 1 August, so we will be able to make that date. Gives us three days on the road to get to New Castle.

Still have a lot to do this morning to get ready. I have a doctor's appointment to give me a clean bill of health for the trip at 0830, and we will leave as soon as I get back from that. Also still have a list of things we need to get loaded in the motor home. Amy will continue doing that while I'm gone, and I will finish when I get back. Kind of busy around here this morning. It's 0500 now and I woke up and could not get back to sleep, so decided to get up and get things going.

Will add another post when we get to Savannah, GA this evening.. Hope to start having some photo's to add the blog.

Hi All: We are still working to get the Motor Home loaded and ready to go. Only 6 more days till we hit the road.

Weather here has been pretty hot, and we are finally getting some much needed rain. I did get the lawn mowed the last two days. Took two days due to getting rained out on the first day. Don't want to leave to much for Brenda and Dave to do while they house sit for us while we are gone.

I also have developed a Kidney Stone and can't seem to get rid of it. I go today for a CT scan to see where it is. This will be the second scan. Hope they come up with something to help me before we leave. Do plan to leave no matter what. I can pee in a sieve on the road as well as here at home.

Well, take care. Will be back on the 21st with another posting.

Hi All: This is the first entry on our 2011 Travel Blog. We plan to depart Floral City on 21 July heading to New Castle, PA for Amy's Family Reunions. First one is the Shelar Reunion on 6 August, and the next is the Harrison Reunion on 13 August. We will be staying at the Rose Point Campground that we have been using for our visits for several years now. Hope it is not raining every day like it did last year.

After the visit in New Castle we plan to head to Branson, MO for a visit, then to Memphis area for a few days, Then Nashville, TN for a few days, Then Huntsville, AL for a visit of some of our USMC friends who live in that area, Then back to Floral City, FL. Not a big trip this time, but hope to have a good time at it.. May have another trip later in the year also..

Have a different Motor Home this time. Bought a 2007 Itasca Motor Home. 39 feet long, and has three slides that give us much more room inside. Having a little trouble with the jack leveling system now, but hope to have that fixed in a few days.

Hope you all enjoy our trip with us.
